Translation issues

A translation issue is simply a wrong translation.

Language testers report translation issues.
They enter the fields as specified in the selected quality profile.
A quality profile is derived from a quality framework (e.g. DQF or MQM).
It specifies the selectable error categories and severity levels.

Translation issues are usually corrected by translators.

Translation issues are presented at various levels:
  1. Review packs,
  2. Review pack and/or
  3. Review task.
Depending on your role, you can view, edit and/or delete linguistic issues., including the severity and error categories.


Neutral / None
Improvement, nice to have.
Errors that do not affect the usage of the functionality.
Causes great difficulty in using functionality or impacts confidence in the product ‚Äč.
Showstoppers, interruptions of business or loss of data.

Error category:


Language testers can report translation issues during a language test. For example, the term "Grind" is translated here like "Sharpen [a knife]", but the actual context is to "Grind coffee beans".
